Hopewind Showcased at Solar & Storage Live 2023 with Leading PV & ESS Solutions, aiming to Energize UK's Net-Zero Target
2023-10-20

October 2023 - Birmingham, UK: Solar & Storage Live 2023, the UK's largest renewable energy conference and trade show, brought together the entire energy value chain, focusing on key enabling technologies on the path to net-zero, such as solar, storage, EVs, and other complementary technologies. During the exhibition, Hopewind showcased its all-scenario PV solutions, as well as its industry-leading ESS, at Stand No. 10, Hall 5.

As the UK seeks to transition to a more sustainable energy supply, solar power plays a pivotal role in this process. In early 2022, the government released its Energy Security Strategy, reaffirming its ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, with solar power as the main driving force. As planned, the UK's installed PV capacity is set to increase from the current 14.9GW to 50GW by 2030. Statistics from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) indicate that in January-July 2023, the UK added 482 MW of new PV installations, marking a 54% increase compared to the same period the previous year, demonstrating a robust growth in the market. Seizing the opportunity presented by increasing market demands, Hopewind presented its leading PV solutions at Solar & Storage Live.

Leading C&I Solution to Empower Business Owners

Designed specifically for business owners, Hopewind's brand-new HSNV110K-G01 string inverter is an ideal choice for C&I solar installations. Compared to average PV inverters with the same nominal power output, it is perfectly compatible with 182mm & 210mm high-power modules and bifacial modules, ensuring no power loss and improving yields while reducing the LCOE for system owners. It supports a wide range of AC output voltages, ranging from 300V to 520V, withstanding any grid fluctuations and offering quality and stable power output for users. In terms of safety, it is equipped with a built-in SPD module to protect against sudden power surges, ensuring operational safety. Additionally, an optional PID recovery module is available to prolong the life expectancy of PV modules.

Advanced PCS Energy Storage Solution for the UK ESS Market

As part of efforts to contribute to the net-zero target, the Energy Storage System (ESS) sector is also thriving in the UK, with a growing demand for high-quality and cost-effective PCS (Power Conversion System). At this exhibition, Hopewind also showcased its PCS energy storage system. The PCS can be flexibly configured from 2.4MW to 3.45MW, meeting the needs of large-scale energy storage projects in the UK. Its integrated design allows for easy transportation and installation. The system offers multiple working modes, including PO, VF, and VSG, as well as black start and grid-forming capabilities. It features an IP65 rating for protection and reliability and is C5-rated for corrosion resistance. Furthermore, it can operate at full power without derating even under temperatures up to 45°C. The PCS system also supports flexible combinations, effectively working with either dry-type or oil-type transformers.

Localized and Efficient Services

In addition to its high-quality products, Hopewind also places great emphasis on providing localized and efficient services. The company has established subsidiaries in the Netherlands, Turkey, and the UK, equipped with local teams to offer professional and responsive services to the European market. Furthermore, the company has plans to set up more such centers in the future, complete with warehouses that provide efficient logistics services and maintain a sizable inventory of products for solar projects.
