The Alxa Base 400,000 kilowatt wind power project is located in the desertified grassland on the edge of the Ulan Buh Desert in Alxa League. It is one of the first key new energy base projects under the national "Sandy and Gobi Deserts" initiative and the first ultra-high voltage clean power transmission project in Alxa League. This project fully adopted Hopewind's 1140V three-level 3.3MW air-cooled dual-feed converters, totaling 122 units. Upon completion, green power from Alxa League will be continuously transmitted to the Shandong region via the ultra-high voltage "express channel", delivering 1.2 billion kilowatt-hours annually, saving 400,000 tons of standard coal, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1 million tons.
