The Pingtan Changjiang'ao Offshore Wind Farm project has a total capacity of 185MW. The project's first phase, comprising 15 units of 5MW wind turbines (75MW total), has been fully grid-connected. The current delivery of turbines and ancillary equipment is for the second phase, which adds 11 units of 10MW wind turbines (110MW), bringing the total project capacity to 185MW.. All these utilize 10MW medium-voltage full-power converters provided by Hopewind. Upon project completion and operation, it is expected to provide 820 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, save 253,000 tons of standard coal, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 556,000 tons, and meet the annual electricity demand of 1.35 million residents.
