In the history of petroleum development in New China, the enthusiasm and dedication spirit of the petroleum predecessors to the petroleum industry have deeply affected every generation, while Hopewind people are also a group of “front-line soldiers” silently sticking to and contribute to the petroleum front.

In addition to the frequency conversion electric control system, the oil drilling equipment has been basically home-made. As a high-tech enterprise that has developed in the frequency conversion electric control field for 12 years, Hopewind began to plan the domestic application of oil drilling rig frequency conversion system in 2015, and successfully developed HD2000 Series Water-cooled Multi-drive Frequency Converter. It was first applied to the electric control drive system of TSC 7,000m drilling rig, and successfully passed the joint commissioning and performance test of complete machine in Lanzhou LS Group Co., Ltd., in 2016. Its speed regulation performance, overload capacity and hover function are fully up to standard, meeting the requirements of control and driving performance of drilling rig. HD2000 Series Water-cooled Multi-drive Frequency Converter subverts the previous commonly used scheme of adopting two containers for electric control system in the industry with its small size (only requiring one container for the whole electric control system), thus greatly optimizing the floor space and reducing the transportation cost.

In November 2018, Hopewind HD2000 Series Water-cooled Multi-drive Frequency Converter showed excellent test results under the background of localization in the industry. After it was initially recognized by the industry, it served in Yubei 19-19 Well of Lukeqin Oilfield in Tuha Basin for the first time, and completed the drilling task of the first oil well (Depth: 4,058m ) within 36 days with outstanding performance. This is the first field application of domestic frequency conversion electric control system in onshore drilling in China, marking a major breakthrough of Hopewind product in the application of oil drilling industry. Meanwhile, it contributes to the localization of core components of high-end equipment in China’s petroleum industry. After that, from winter to summer, Hopewind HD2000 Frequency Converter was also successfully applied in Jimusar J10018 Well and Jimusar J10050 Well.
