The Lizijing Wind Farm project is located in Luxi County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The domestic brand converter used in Phase I meets the low-voltage ride-through function but does not have the high-voltage ride-through function. Moreover, this brand of converter has been discontinued, and spare parts procurement is difficult. The imported converter used in Phase II is a converter widely used in the early wind power market. It has high equipment integration, small size, and relatively stable operation in the early stage. However, it is also insufficient in coping with large grid harmonic content and imbalance in some areas of the country, and does not have the high-voltage ride-through function, unable to meet the requirements of the power grid. According to the requirements of Yunnan Power Grid, in order to meet the grid-connected performance of equipment, Lizijing Wind Farm needs to carry out high-voltage ride-through renovation work. The project uses 60 sets of Hopewind's 1.5MW doubly-fed converter for whole machine replacement with a total capacity of 90MW. The project was fully connected to the grid on August 8, 2022.
