Reasons for renovation: A certain imported converter on site does not have high-voltage ride-through capability and has poor grid adaptability. Due to the poor power grid near Zhangjiakou, Hebei, batches of units in the wind farm were disconnected from the grid. Therefore, it was renovated.

Renovation scheme: Replace the original control system with Hopewind's core control system. Remove the original Crowbar component and replace it with Hopewind's active Crowbar component. Add a Chopper component. Upgrade and debug the renovated converter, and complete the converter test and grid connection work.

Renovation effect: Renovation started in May 2021. After the renovation, the converter passed the test of the electric power research institute at one time.
