From February 27th to 29th, 2024, the bustling city of Lahore has become the epicenter of what was heralded as a landmark event in the renewable energy sector, the 14th International Renewable Energy Exhibition & Conference-Solar Pakistan. Hopewind brought its all-scenario PV inverters dedicated to different PV applications at this exhibition.
Pakistan, with its abundant sunlight resources and an average daily sunshine of nine and a half hours, offers great potential for solar power development. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the solar energy market in Pakistan is projected to grow from 1.3 GW in 2023 to 9.77 GW by 2028, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 49.68% during the forecast period. This growth creates a significant demand for high-quality solar inverters. Hopewind aimed to address this demand by presenting its all-scenario PV inverters at the exhibition.
Catering to home solar users, Hopewind’s residential inverters, including HYNV 5-10K, the hybrid series made its presence at this exhibition. This hybrid inverter ensures a seamless switch to bypass load within only 4ms. Its backup output supports 200% overload for a period of 60s, enabling the system to handle inrush currents, sudden peak loads induced by certain electrical appliances such as electric machinery, heat pump, and AC system. As for safety features, IP66 rated enclosure, AFCI, and Type III SPD on both AC and DC sides are also incorporated to eliminate potential risks.
“In preparation of power outages, especially during high peak hours of power consumption such as summer night, our hybrid inverter will be able to support interrupted power supply of your AC system,”said Syed Salman, country manager of Hopewind Pakistan.
Apart from that, Hopewind also configured this hybrid inverter to be matched with storage batteries that vary from 100V to 800V, thus giving the users more options on choosing branded batteries.
In the commercial and industrial solar sectors, Hopewind presented its highly acclaimed Hopesun 110kW C&I inverter, which has received praise from customers worldwide. Designed for medium-sized commercial solar applications, this inverter offers a maximum PV input capacity of 20A and a broad AC output voltage range from 300V to 520V. It ensures compatibility with all types of high-power PV modules and provides exceptional grid stability during fluctuations, maximizing yields while delivering stable and high-quality power.
At the utility-scale level, Hopewind showcased its groundbreaking 385kW string inverter, which boasts the highest nominal power output in the PV industry. With an advanced cooling system, this inverter can operate at full power even at high temperatures of up to 40 degrees without derating. It achieves an impressive maximum efficiency rating of 99.01%. The 385kW inverter features PLC communication for seamless integration with control systems, reducing wiring complexity and improving system efficiency. Notably, it includes a vital PID recovery function, addressing concerns about PV string degradation and prolonging the life expectancy of PV modules. The inverter prioritizes safety and reliability with a built-in SPD module that offers protection against induced and direct lightning strikes, enhancing the overall safety and reliability of the system.
