The drive system of the north-south full line main rolling mill of the new H-beam production line in a steel plant (location: Tangshan City, Hebei Province, China) adopts Hopewind HD2000 Series Low-voltage Engineering-type Frequency Conversion System for driving, and adopts the combined drive mode of Hopewind HD2000 Series basic rectifier unit+brake unit+motor drive unit+code wheel module. Moreover, the inverter unit is directly driven by the largest air-cooled 1.2MW and 1.4MW motor drive units in the industry, so as to to meet the drive requirement without multi-unit parallel connection mode, thus greatly reducing the failure rate. A total of more than 200 pieces of HD2000 frequency conversion cabinets are used for the north and south lines of the project, with a total system power of about 228MW. It reflects the user’s high trust in the quality of Hopewind products.
