Jiangsu Qidong Offshore Wind Farm
2024-11-08

Time: December 2021.

Location: Qidong, Jiangsu.

This project is located in the sea area of Qidong City, Nantong, Jiangsu Province. The offshore distance of the project area center is about 40 kilometers. The planned sea area is 114.5 square kilometers. Three 220KV offshore booster stations and one onshore centralized control center are built as supporting facilities. It is a project with the most diverse configurations of wind turbines in China. A total of 134 wind turbines of seven models from four manufacturers are installed, providing a promotion template for large-scale and large-scale wind farm construction.

There are 58 sets of units equipped with Hopewind converters in this project. And the project team has created many "firsts" in the field of offshore wind power: the first domestically produced 7MW and 10MW wind turbines in China are both equipped with Hopewind converters. The project was fully connected to the grid on December 25, 2021. The annual online electricity generation can reach 2.226 billion kWh. It can save 717,000 tons of standard coal and reduce 1.469 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
