Kubuqi photovoltaic desertification control project is located in the hinterland of the Kubuqi Desert in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, and is invested and constructed by China Three Gorges Corporation and Yili Group. The project has an installed capacity of 2 million kilowatts, covers an area of 100,000 mu, and includes a supporting 400 MW/800 MWh (maximum charge-discharge power of 400 MW and total storage capacity of 800 MWh) energy storage system and a desert control and ecological construction project covering 100,000 mu. Hopewind  has provided 5,604 units of the HSHV350K-D01 inverter for this project with a total capacity of 2000 MW.
