Doubly-fed Converter-950V/1140V-Fan Cooling

Hopewind Electric's low-voltage three-level air-cooled doubly-fed converter 

is used in wind power generation systems with 950V/1140V doubly-fed generators. 

Adopting I-type three-level topology,the system voltage level is 950V/1140V, 

and the core power conversion module adopts IGBT devices.

When the generator speed changes with the wind speed , the 

converter changes the rotor magnetic field by controlling the excitation of the 

generator rotor, so that the frequency, phase, and amplitude of the generator 

output voltage are consistent with the grid, so as to realize variable speed & 

constant frequency power generation of the wind power system. By changing 

the frequency, amplitude and phase of the rotor excitation current, the generator

 frequency, active and reactive power can also be adjusted.

Hopewind Electric provides 950V/1140V rated voltage, 50Hz/60Hz rated frequency

 of 2.5MW, 3.0MW, 3.XMW and other specifications of wind power double-fed 

converters. The products include a number of patented technologies and have

completely independent Intellectual property. The converter adopts air-cooled 

cooling method. According to different application environments, it can be divided 

into standard type, high prototype, low temperature type, and coastal type.

Performance characteristics

Mature design: more than 8 years of three-level development and application

Platform design: 690V system platform is adopted, and the structural layout 

and the design of the incoming and outgoing lines are consistent to assist 

the seamless switching of the unit design

Good power quality: the converter adopts a three-level topology scheme,

with more output levels and lower harmonic content

Reduce the loss of the converter: the voltage brings the current reduction, 

and the converter heat is reduced, and the tower heat dissipation pressure is

greatly reduced

Improve unit cost performance: solve the bottleneck of motor power design,

reduce the amount of cables inside the unit, and reduce the unit system cost

Remote monitoring and intelligent diagnosis: realize the intelligent diagnosis 

of fan faults through the remote network system of the converter
